An engraved glass ball looks different lit up than it does by day. During the day, you see the engraving as fine lines in the glass. Switch on the LED in the wooden base, and it is lit from below and suddenly stands out in three dimensions. The ball is 2.4 inches in diameter, the base is solid wood — it is a small object, not a piece of furniture.
