Product Description
On an ordinary board, you cut straight through the wood fibers. That's why every stroke shows after a year, and the knife dulls faster. In end grain, the fibers stand upright: the blade slips in between them and the wood closes up again afterward. The board stays smooth longer and the knife stays sharp longer.
